https://sourceforge.net/p/amforth/mailman/amforth-devel/ is worth searching (bitbang) and there are some messages relating to your particular question. It would certainly be a nice feature to have, perhaps along with being able to access a second hardware uart from within AmForth. The latter has been on my would-like-todo list for a while. If anyone has achieved this I would be grateful for any pointers.
