I think it's me who is not up to date. Isn't 3.10 a later version than 3.4?
I've not installed some of the recent updates because the changes were
mostly around the Series 5 area and I have a 3a. Check ftp.vapor.com for
the latest version.

Thats pretty much what I do. I leave the cable connected to the Amiga. With
the Amiga usually switched on but the Psion switched off I then connect to
the 3a as required.
Maybe there is some problem with OS3.5 and the Series 5 but it works fine
with the 3a here.
