The I button is a silence button, which is not really a CTCP ignore
command, but an ignore on private messages and ctcps (including DCCs)
at the server level.

For instance, if you pressed it because someone is flooding you, the
/silence will tells the IRC server you are on to ignore that person's
nick/mask, so you don't receive craps like the standard ignore does,
and thus saving you being flooded with rubbish.

This explains why you get a massive lag time when you silence yourself
or /silence +*!*@* or even with someone with a similar hostmask to
yourself, because you are effectively ignoring everything at the
server except channel texts and certain notices. :)

Maybe that explains it.  :)  I've only used AmIRC 3.0 once, and used
the I, and it says it silence such and such person. Meanwhile, I await
the NetConnect3 release.. ;)
