or better still, /silence +*!*@*
if that what I think is what you want.

Hmm, I can't say I've ever been killed off with an excess flood for 6
users on any of the main networks, but that's mainly down to the
routing/lag you have with a particular IRC server and this generates a
queue of information - a bit like a buffer - and each server has a limit
to the size of this.  The best solution is to find a server that gives
you good routing, ie, the least lag and you decrease the risk of being
killed off for excess flood.
