Hi, ALL
I was offered one FT-501 with the mains transformer
burned.
I got it rewound and today the set came back to life:
could hear some QSO's in 80m.
The TUNE just puts the IC to idle but speaking to the
mic gives no output.
The heaters are on and all the HV's are OK.
Is there some "easy" way to evaluate the performance
of the final tubes? (I have no replacement).
Also the digital display shows only zeros: where to
start checking?
All the help on these questions will be highly
appreciated ;-))
