I've been bit with 5KV and 15KV.
I spent some time working power distribution.
Both times ALL precautions WERE taken.
The stuff can become unpredictable!

DirectTV just had the "Redneck Comedy Special" Marathon on the Comedy
Channel in the last several weeks.
