satellite.  I always kid with the DX Association people
As most of the time if I have a table for AMSAT at a hamfest I am located
nearby.  I ask them how far they have talked - Max being
Halfway around the world. I said I made a contact with Fairlawn, NJ (about
12 airmiles from me but 39,000kms up and 39,000kms back down on AO-40..Hi,
Hi!  They always look puzzled and so do the closeby "Listener's!

To break away from the current irrelevant thread. A momentous QSO from WC7V
in DN45 to RN1NW in KP71 took place today on AO-7. The distance is about
7659 km. Great going guys! Streeeeetching to foot print is always a
