Hi,
Thank you, we're having a huge number of downloads, feels good to see how
much userbase we got :)
take your time about earlier suggestions, I know you're busy.
sorry about the link, it was supposed to be a mirror, but it seems it's
down...
I attached the XML file to this email.
We of course checked that the size of the downloaded is correct...
here's one post :
I alrready download the amsn 0.95.. but i can not install him.... sorry
for my english..... im clicking like 1000 times but doesnt open
anything!!!!
and two people reported that on the channel... I created a log and
attached it to this email (html log file), you can search through it, the
nicknames of the users reporting the problem is : 'Anborn' and 'amsnuser'
That's all the info we got.. we probably have a lot of people with the
same problem but they probably no idea of what 'forum' means and are also
probably unable to install mIRC :P
Hey, Daniel, I just though of something and tried it... I'm able to
reproduce it!!
create a directory named "anything with spécial characters" (note the é on
spécial.. copy paste the name from the email if you don't have FR language
installed) and put the installer inside.. then try launching it!! there's
the bug, can't launch installer if it's in a path with special
characters... (we have the same problem with aMSN, can't choose a display
picture if it's in a path with special chars..)
ok, I hope it'll get fixed soon!
Thanks for the help :)

Hi,
The installer works fine for me as downloaded from the SF.NET page, on
Windows XP.
Can you check with your users that the downloaded size of the installer
is correct?
Are there any forums where people are discussing this? I would like to
take a look and see if we can troubleshoot
Thanks
Daniel

Hi Youness,
Congrats on the recent release. I still need to reply about your other
suggestions you made in an earlier email, some of which we already
implemented, I just have not had time to reply.
The link you sent me does not work (server not found), can you please
resend it?
Can you please send me the project XML file?
Thanks!
Daniel

Subject: problem with win32 installer
Hi Daniel, how are you ?
aMSN 0.95 is now released, and we're getting a lot of downloads and
feedback (and support for stupid n00b :@)
We have had several reports about the win32 installer not working...
you can get it from here :
http://amsn.gsol.ws/amsn-0.95-windows-installer.exe
tell me if you think anything is wrong with it.. people are reporting
that
they click on it, and it doesn't launch, doesn't do anything... a user
said he was using win XP, don't know about the other users...
we can't reproduce it, so I can't help more than that.. anyways, I
though
I'd better report that to you, I'm CC-ing [EMAIL PROTECTED] just in
case
you're busy.
