you "fucked up" your system, it is being vulgar, but not rude, I didn't
say fuck you, I didn't insult you in any other way, I wasn't rude with
you, so being vulgar doesn't mean being rude, but I won't argue with you
on that because it seems your so stupid, you won't understand what I'll be
talking about and you'll never change your opinion (NOW, I am rude)
you were lazy enough not to try the solution Vivia proposed to you
+ you're acusing us of whatever + you're rude + you didn't even google
for a solution.. how stupid can this be ? before bothering Tk people or
say that our application is crap, you should have tried all the solutions
that Vivia spent so much time finding!
I would like to add that the time you took to read the emails and the time
you took to write those emails is largly superior to the time it would
have taken you if you simply tried each font path and restarted your X
server that many times.. and that's without even counting the time that WE
wasted on you..
Like all stupid questions, here's my final answer :
RTFM, you're not good enough to apply the solution, then don't bother us
I hereby declare this thread, officialy closed, vivia/others don't waste
any more time answering this guy. And that's even if he flushes his "to-do
list" during the "weekend"...
ohh.. and in which case, my final answer to you would be : ever heard of
gaim/kopete ? ... MS Windows ?

Actually, I never inisted on not removing fonts from xorg.conf. I
just haven't gotten around to it yet. (Basically because of the time
involved in commenting them out one by one and relaunching the server
each time.) It's on my to-do list for this weekend.

(search the thread for the solution that this guy found)

Adding the locales wasn't the only solution I had suggested. In the FAQ
it
is suggested to remove your font paths from xorg.conf , which you didn't
do. I had also explicitly told you to remove them because some font
might
just be broken (and recreating the font cache wouldn't help), which you
insisted on not doing.
About aMSN's source: If it even crashes for the language chooser, my
guess
is that it narrows down things - look at lang.tcl , I just did, code is
OK. Besides, I've encountered this same problem myself and helped many
users with it, and we never ever needed to modify aMSN's source for it.
