I've had a chance to run Analog 3.3 on a Win98 platform a few times now and
have been able to see a few interesting things. Under 3.2 I had about 30
corrupt log file entries. Under 3.3 that dropped to about 10 and, thanks
to the ease of debugging due to the error out file, I was able to determine
that was because the new version does not like to end the file at the end
of a log record. I must have a crlf on a line of its own. (I keep all of
the log records by month and use a wildcard to read all of the month
files.)

I don't know if this was a problem in the older version or not, but I am
trying to put all of the entries from one domain together but it does not
seem to be working.

analog.cfg
HOSTOUTPUTALIAS 206.133.* "206.133.0.0 [Sprint]"

Output

    9: 0.02%: 4: 0.04%: 206.133.0.0 [Sprint]
   26: 0.06%: 4: 0.04%: 206.133.0.0 [Sprint]

I'd like to have that on one line. Can anyone help me to accomplish that?
I have 2 or 3 entries like that.

I just had the first opportunity to run Report Magic after using 3.3 and
there seems to be a problem with the user, domain, host, and directory
reports. I'm picking up one of the analog parameters as data. This may be
the culprit but I don't really know as I have not investigated the non-HTML
output format.

I really like the new release of Analog and as I learn more and more about
Report Magic I like it more and more. But I have a lot to learn about it.
I'm just getting started.

Thanks to both authors for their time, energy, and brilliant creations and
for allowing us to be able to use them without cost.

Mike
