I have a page up that I am working on. My basic problem is that I
want to combine the results of hosts that match certain regular
expression patterns (they are not on separate subnets)
I have read the documentation which warned about using hostalias to
do this. Actually hostalias gave me the desired result in the hosts
report, but messed up the domain and organization reports. If I use
hostoutputalias I get the label but not the combined statistics that
I want in the hosts or domain report.
What I basically want is the ability to have machines
public*.library.nwu.edu (Grouped as PUBLIC WORKSTATIONS in hosts reports)
staff*.library.nwu.edu (Grouped as PUBLIC WORKSTATIONS in hosts and
domain reports)
Am I missing something here? Is there a way to have my cake and eat
it to. Can I configure HOSTALIAS in a way that does not mess up the
domain and organization reports?
