The domains in the above are referrers. They say what the last page clicked
on was. Using your referrer report (or Referring Site Report) you can
distunguish traffic from those travelling around w.c.l.u and w.ct.c, but not
which site people are coming to. If I type in
http://www.counsellingtraining.com in my browser, you'll get a line in you
logs like

access23.flaglink.com - - [03/Aug/2000:20:21:09 +0100] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200
1103 - "Mozilla/4.0 (Win NT; E; I)"

This has no referrer information and you don't know whether I went to
http://www.counsellingtraining.com/ or http://www.csct.ltd.uk/.

Yeah, good luck getting them to change their format. :) Perhaps, you could
suggest the line to them (assuming the server is Apache, it is combined
format after all). If they put this in your vitual host settings you'll get
vhost data too.

LogFormat "%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b \"%{Referer}i\" \"%{User-Agent}i\""
combined

Alternately, there may already be a log format in there called 'full' that
they could use for your logs. (Has anyone ever tried putting LogFormat in
.htaccess?)

www.counsellingtraining.com or www.csct.ltd.uk.
