well, i just checked two ip's that are both physically in my network in augsburg, germany and the results are less than satisfying... (https://secure.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm?GetLocation) the first one 213.209.132.2 shows up as being in trieste, italy and the second one 213.209.128.15 returns with the right country, but unfortunately with a city that is almost at the other end of germany.... however, it did get my local (phoenix, az) ip right... so, there you are, 3 ip's - one completely wrong, one "almost" right, and one bullseye...... robert +------------------------------------------------------------------------ | TO UNSUBSCRIBE from this list: | http://lists.isite.net/listgate/analog-help/unsubscribe.html | | Digest version: http://lists.isite.net/listgate/analog-help-digest/ | Usenet version: news://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.analog.general | List archives: http://www.analog.cx/docs/mailing.html#listarchives +------------------------------------------------------------------------
