The whole idea is pretty much flawed. The IP I use to access the internet may or may not have anything to do with my geographical location. If I for instance go thru a corporate proxy located in the US, even though I live in Switzerland, well ... I believe the information in the various databases is /probably/ fairly good, but it doesn't say anything about the quality of the information in your logfiles, and it says even less about the quality of an analysis done using those two combined. But maybe people aren't looking for accuracy? /Per -- Per Jessen, Zurich http://timian.jessen.ch - an analog report formatter using XSLT. http://www.dansk.org - for alle danskere i udlandet! +------------------------------------------------------------------------ | TO UNSUBSCRIBE from this list: | http://lists.isite.net/listgate/analog-help/unsubscribe.html | | Digest version: http://lists.isite.net/listgate/analog-help-digest/ | Usenet version: news://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.analog.general | List archives: http://www.analog.cx/docs/mailing.html#listarchives +------------------------------------------------------------------------
