Looks like the FILEEXCLUDE worked.  Knew it was something simple.

        Try running analog with  setting to have it tell you what it is and is 
not including. There might be one you are missing.

  +C"FILEINCLUDE /finehost/*" \ 
  +O/home/stuartl/depts/finehost/report.html \ 
   settings 

        Of course, adding the +C"FILEEXCLUDE *" to the command line won't hurt 
and guarantees the behavior you want.
