This does not bode well for the blog post I am working on... > But that means that the carrier itself enables the update? I have seen no evidence that HTC makes firmware upgrades available directly. They always handle that through whoever distributed the device (e.g., T-Mobile for the T-Mobile myTouch3G version of the Magic). So, if you got your device from your carrier, I would expect the carrier will say when and how to upgrade it, assuming they support such an upgrade. This is one of the many, many reasons why I hope Android spawns a robust market for devices not tied to a carrier, where you get the device from a device manufacturer and use it with a mobile carrier. -- Mark Murphy (a Commons Guy) http://commonsware.com | http://twitter.com/commonsguy Need Android talent?
