No. I mean that if I was going to do more than one platform, #2 would
be IPhone. The frustrating thing is how fragmented the phone
application world is. Wimo needs one language/platform. IPhone has
its own. JME tries to be portable, but it is significantly different
on each platform. Then, of course, Android. Then all the others I'm
not even looking at (Palm, Simbian, etc).

Yeah. You have to test on many phones, but it seems like JME is much
worse with regards to that. Its not just display size differences.
The interface controls, menus, dialogs, etc differ from platform to
platform. I find Microsoft, and windows, annoying in that its a very
top-down design philosophy. "Bill makes, the world takes" sort of
thing. But in certain cases, it works. This looks like one of them.

I think Android could be a great platform in a couple years, but if an
app releases into the woods and there's nobody there to install it,
its hard to get started. Winning the contest bridges that gap to some
degree. There won't be a lot of Android phones, but EVERY ONE will
see and hear about your app. Plus, you know. Some cash to pay the
rent while you're waiting for the masses to show.
