I'm not talking about money and even less about google. Like someone said on the group if someone says "good job it's awesome" it's a good start. Big projects like VLC for example started out of nothing with 0 budget.
If it is money you want maybe someone with a bit of money will see a good opportunity to do business with your app and will invest on it... Each time you have a human as a judge you can't expect him to be fair and square : he as is own convinction of what will be the killer app of Android. But he only represents 1/3 000 000 000 of the users of cell phones. What was your application ? Maybe it was something that came up too early and the judges didn't want to see.
