disagree. While I didn't win anything and it kinda sucks, the challenge was presented from the start as 50 apps getting selected for a prize. It would be bad form to ask for or expect money. Google already has done more than they needed to by letting the losing teams opt-in to be contacted by OHA members if their applications were good, but not good enough. And the "Android Developer Challenge Gallery" that is coming up as well.
