The problem Google will face when they do decide to send the scores of the losing entries is that they have to justify some of the winnning entries based on the criteria google listed as the basis for judging. Let's take the 7-day weather forecasting app and the weather channel app as examples. How would these two apps objectively score using the below criteria:
1. Originality 2. Effective Use of the Android Platform 3. Polish and Appeal 4. Indispensibility They need to put high scores on each of these criteria. Why are those apps original? How were they effective uses of Android platform? Polished maybe but appealing? Naaah. How about indispensability? Do you really need a weather station in your mobile all the time? So you can really read between the lines why Google will not disclose the scores of the losing entries.
