Try to answer your questions: 1) According to the spec of PN544 it can read MIFARE tags. 2) Just tested it on my device, and it seems that the tag is also detected only once. This way, double-detection are prevented. 3) Access to a SE is not possible with the current Android APIs (but PN544 will support it).
