I assume you've looked at the docs: *Show bad patches*: Adds a red border around patch areas that may produce artifacts in the graphic when stretched. Visual coherence of your stretched image will be maintained if you eliminate all bad patches
Still not *too* clear what that means, but I'd say that if you're OK with how your 9-patches look in your app, don't worry about it.
