Really, which brand? I hope, you don't mean that "RI" (Reference Implementation) for the Emulator by T-Mobile...?
Kogan from Australia has come up with a real phone based on Andriod. And it seems unlocked by default. I'd only use the G1 if it was unlocked and FREE for Developers.
