Why other developers are not blocked: It's like a speeding ticket that way. You can't get out of a speeding ticket by saying to a cop that others were speeding too and didn't get a ticket.... Anytime you add artwork (images, sounds, etc) that you didn't create yourself, you have to ask yourself the question if the artwork is public or not. And usually it is not. And the fact that stuff is on the internet, doesn't make it 'public' in the sense that you can use it yourself anyway you like it. Consider it a lesson learned.
