Python isn't usable for real application development, at least at this point. If you want to write production quality apps, you'll need to use the sdk, in java.
Apps aren't written solely in Java, but they are not written in C#. The reason apps are written in java is because the vm runs bytecode translated from Java. You can also use C/++, but it's not an excuse for not learning the Java SDK. While it is possible to write some simple things using SLA (python), you won't get too far with it.
