Just to complete the thread, the Run button can be added through the following steps:
1 - Right click on a blank area of the toolbar and clicking on "Customize Perspective" <https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-y0Z5BuKMdFA/UGJ2PzHvVhI/AAAAAAAAA2k/OtIIUgrOBg0/s1600/toolbar.png> 2 - Open the Command Group Availability tab in the Customize Perspective dialog and then enable the Launch group. <https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-9WEqsU3oHNo/UGJ14mIZtSI/AAAAAAAAA2c/WISQ1Cp63B4/s1600/cmdgrp.png> 3 - Switch to the Tool Bar Visibility tab in the Customize Perspective dialog and then you can enable either the Debug or Run buttons on the toolbar. <https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-IP_ec8QzyrA/UGJ26Db6SNI/AAAAAAAAA2s/5qd173duJd8/s1600/tbv.png> Then when you hit Run or Debug on the toolbar, the Run Configurations dialog will come up and you can choose where to send the app (either a device or an AVD).
