Hi,

when evaluating the speed of a gps location via
android.location.Location.getSpeed() this sometimes (randomly)
responds with values close to 128 m/s on a G1, which is senseless
(except when you are in a plane...).

The problem seems to be unrelated to position accuracy, but may have
something to do with power control (if device is sleeping and "woke
up" using android.location.LocationManager.requestLocationUpdates
(...)).

Anyone had that problem? Does anyone know the valid range of
android.location.Location.getSpeed() on a G1, e.g., does it report
speeds above 128 m/s (460 km/h) correctly at all?

Thanks
