I disagree considering up until about 9 days ago there was no time-frame /
phone model to concern yourself about.

Don't believe rumors, especially the way Android updates have been rolling
out ... or not.

Android 2 has been out for a while now. What difference is a few more days
going to make?

The differences between 2.1 and 2.0.1 have already been documented:

Again, Android 2 has been out for a while, so I would argue that the point
of these devices is to help you test as you CONTINUE development and work
out issues that already exist but you can't (or are more difficult to) solve
without the device. Your app(s) should have been "ready" for Android 2 when
Android 2 came out.

It's a free phone that up until 9 days ago you didn't know you would have.
Pretend it's not coming and move on with your life as you would if you never
got that email. Then enjoy the surprise when it shows up and deal with the
model / version issues then.

Just sayin'.
