That's not an excuse, sorry. They're now responsible for an entire
platform, these things should "fit on their plate", too. Though I
admit that they simply can't do everything at once.

Hmm, let me reveal it that I came from Symbian world to make
experiments with Android - and I like it pretty much. What I saw "over
there", though, was that there were several popular 3rd-party forums
that were eventually beaten by Forum Nokia's blogs, discussion boards,
wiki, etc. Regardless of the fact that they didn't like it, it was
beneficial for developers in general, because what was not available
on FN that simply was rarely available anywhere else. Thus, eventually
developers have to visit a single site to get answers for their
questions.

Is it good or bad - who decides? Will it work differently in case of
Android? No-one knows. I have always been able to find an answer to my
questions related to Android development so far, though I had to jump
from forum to forum, blog post to blog post quite often - fortunately
Google search has worked quite well so far. But it'd be more efficient
if everything was in a single place.

Ps.: could you give us a link to the wiki you mentioned?
