Here's an idea - allow the Android documentation to be wikified, by which I mean people could add comments on each page expressing their experiences using the API.
Second idea - enable and use the wiki feature at Google Code in the android project here: http://code.google.com/p/android/ I like the idea of Google "blessing" a wiki even if they don't have much to do with writing the content (though I expect some team members won't be able to help themselves). Having them host it would be nice to have for stability and availability purposes, but it's not a requirement. Case study: The Eclipse Foundation set up a wiki for all their projects and it has been a great success. See http://wiki.eclipse.org/Main_Page . They decided to require log ins for some accountability, and the wiki userids are the same as the bugzilla userids. Before the official wiki was set up, there were a couple of unofficial ones but content was of varying quality, and I seem to remember it being unavailable for stretches of time. -- Ed Burnette Author, "Hello, Android", http://www.pragprog.com/titles/eband Webmaster, Planet Android blog aggregator, http://www.planetandroid.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
