Hello Justin, Our other concern is get some type of developer contributed wik site up now sort of as a way to centralize notes, events and etc based on the Eclipse Foundation wiki use case example. While we understand the wikifying the docs is long term having the site up now and developer involvement in generating wiki articles could help boost the 3rd party Android Application development. It could also boster 3rd party involvement in addtions to the Android platform on the kernel side.
For example, many of us on the list are WebView Applicaiotn hackers, that is we use a native wrapper like PhoneGap or QuickConnect to alowus to connect to GPS and etc via javascirpt and our app code is webbased. In that case we would love to author wiki articles of the dev techniques and etc so others can also have fun developing in that manner. By having a central wiki site we than can encourage those types of additions to the knowledgebase for all Andorid developers. There are of course other Andorid areas with developers also wanting to contribute wiki articles, it woudl be ashame with SYmbian new member news to not harness that community power. My biases: Yes, I am a WebView Appplication hacker. Yes, I am founder of a start up targeting both Android and iPhone with one code base in the form of a Loopt clone called Xpost. Yes, I do get a kick out of getting GPS data via javascipt after the pain of J2me GPS :) A guess the question to ask at the moment is there a way if we tag knol articles a certain way that they could be crawled and aggregrated in a cerntal site way? If that is possible we could lstart doing that now as far as producing wiki articles in preparation. *Fred Grott Developer* *MobileBytes Site: *http://mobilebytes.wikidot.com/ *Xspot Project Page: *http://mobilebytes.wikidot.com/xspot<http://mobilebytes.wikidot.com/xspot%20> *Xspot Demo Videos: * http://www.youtube.com/user/memine44 *Blog Site: *http://www.jroller.com/shareme *You can also find me on these IMs:* Gtalk:fred.grott skype:fred.grott Or you can find me at: [image: linkdin] <http://www.linkedin.com/in/shareme>[image: twitter]<http://twitter.com/sharemefg>[image: perssonas] <http://perssonas.com/person?who=B4N7WnNM77VXpN>[image: friendfeed] <http://friendfeed.com/shareme>[image: mahalo]<http://www.mahalo.com/member/Shareme>[image: del.icio.us] <http://delicious.com/shareme>[image: digg]<http://digg.com/users/shareme>[image: identica] <http://identi.ca/shareme>[image: facebook]<http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/profile.php?id=592318318&ref=profile>[image: seesmic] <http://www.seesmic.com/shareme>[image: vimeo]<http://www.vimeo.com/user411149>[image: slideshare] <http://www.slideshare.net/shareme>[image: geeks]<http://geeks.pirillo.com/profile/FredGrott> --- @ WiseStamp Signature. <http://www.wisestamp.com/> Get it now<http://www.wisestamp.com/> .
