Trust me when I tell you that as an industry vet I understand exactly what you are going through. That said, you'll have to forgive me when I point out that the pain you are going through could and should have been avoided by doing things in the correct sequence, one which is not exactly news to anyone in this industry.
At the end of the day, as long as Google (and the rest of the organizations behind Android) comes away from this understanding the problem that they have created and prepared to ensure that it never happens again, I'll be happy.
