That is assuming that I *want* to provide the patch. Quite frankly, I'm happy with the hacked apps2sd2 approach for my own personal use, and with a full time job (I work for a company writing smartphone applications for blackberry, apple, and android devices), and a girlfriend, I simply cannot justify putting *any* time into doing something like this *unpaid*. If this changes or somebody offers me some $$ for this, I would be more than happy to contribute, but I don't forsee this happening.
