Yep, definitely belongs in android-discuss - where all topics google really should address go everywhere but, you know, to google's ears. And while I continue to not have enough foul adjectives to describe this nonsense of restricted administration accounts on EVERY brand of smartphone released to date, that is the way it is and is not likely to change until cellular companies stop supporting the phones for the life of the individuals contract individual device-makers stop putting their custom junk on top. I'm sure Google engineers would be delighted to give you root access with a click. Go complain to major wireless companies and device manufactures.
human rights? Ha! It does straight piss me off though. ~chris On Mon, Jun 27, 2011 at 8:22 PM, Disconnect <dc.disconn...@gmail.com> wrote: > Thats funny, do you have a link for where they published these "fundamental > tenets"? > > Cuz.. its funny.. out of the dozens (hundreds?) of different android devices > released since the G1, afiak they only provided 2 that were rootable in any > reasonable way (nexus phones) > > That doesn't sound like a fundamental tenet at all to me... > > (Also, this probably belongs on android-discuss..) > > On Sun, Jun 26, 2011 at 5:39 PM, Sean McGuffee <sean.mcguf...@gmail.com> > wrote: >> >> Hi, >> I just got an Android phone for the first time today.
