Hi Tripp, It is possible to run android on a PC (or virtual PC) environment. Some people have already ported it to some x86 processor based platforms. So, all you need to do is get hold of someone who has developed a port of the android source files, for an x86 target, and ask if he/she can create an image file that you can use to install on a PC.
If you go to this site : http://code.google.com/p/patch-hosting-for-android-x86-support/ you will find some guys who have already done an x86 port. Perhaps you could ask them if they could help give you an image that you can use.
