I've bought an android tablet with built-in GPS and 3G module ! It has ICS installed, and it has been reset to factory settings.However the tablet has been bought from a ebay like site in Romania ! I have some concerns just for that reason, because there is a trend here : sell a smartphone or a tablet and then track the users through GPS location - see anti -theft so when the device is connected to the internet it's giving away the position (quite normally ).So far so good.But the problem is that some thieves are selling them, just for that purpose and then do some inquiry and then surprise : they rob your house.The word is they install their own rom and their own modified ICS. My questions are : How do I flash the rom exactly as the producer does, install ICS as the producer as well, and and top of that maybe even change the IMEI as a extra precaution.I know these might seem too much but I don't like getting robbed.The vendors in 99% of the time are good people and well intentioned.But it's a developing trend and robbers use some site to gain confidence using false auctions (with other robbers :))) getting 5 stars ranks.I'm not paranoid or anything but I believe in better safe than sorry scenario.The tablet is a Allview Frenzy 3G with ICS. ---Note - I've already used the backup and restore delete and update from the sdcard with the vendor's update.I want to install the Rom as the vendor, ICS as the vendor and even overwrite the IMEI.
