Hey friends,

don't panic - the build always ran fine on my machine (at least until
J�rgen brought in a few grains of salt that I wiped away on the same
day!). I hope, everything is running again! I gave J�rgen the necessary
information to understand the magic behind it.

But I agree with you: the complexity of the build is beyond my usual
style! Poor chaps! :-)

P.S.: We should not branch the branch... Let's close V3x_MMD as soon as
possible and continue in HEAD.
