Hello again,

I have hardcoded the MAC address in the smsc95xx driver to perform some tests
It seems to be ok for the MAC now
[ 72.722839] smsc95xx 1-2.1:1.0: eth0: register 'smsc95xx' at usb-ehci-omap.0-2.1, smsc95xx USB 2.0 Ethernet, 11:22:33:44:55:66

but I still don't have the eth0 up at boot time

I'm running a console-image

I have put traces (echo to file) in the /etc/init.d/networking ... and the script is never executed

there is no inittab in this distro... is it a problem with my systemd config ?

Chris

There's a feature that will bump the eth# if it gets a new Mac address.
Check if eth 1 or 2 works

Hello (i'm new to Angstrom),

I'm running an image for beagleboad based on the steps at
http://www.angstrom-**distribution.org/building-**angstrom<http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/building-angstrom>

All is running except that the eth0 interface is not automatically up
after boot (smsc95xx)
A manual ifup eth0 do the work

I found messages in the beagleboard list that mentionned the image
Angstrom-Cloud9-IDE-eglibc-**ipk-v2011.12-core-beaglebone-**2011.12.13.img.gz
fixed the issue
but my problem is that I cannot update my SDCard at this time

could someone tell me how to find the patches for this problem ?

Best Regards,
Chris
