I've managed to go further with boot, but from SD card. I'm loading
exactly the same kernel as above, but now I get Angstrom splash screen
with a progress bar that after some time disappears and leaves me at
text screen (even if I use x11-image-hx2000.tar.gz). If I now insert
those CF card I was trying to boot from, the following appears on the
screen:

pccard: PMCIA card inserted into slot 1
pcmcia: registering new device pcmcia1.0
hda: SILICONSYSTEMS INC 512MB, ATA DISK drive
ide0 at 0xC4880000-0xC4880007, 0xC488000e on irq 43
hda: max request size: 128KiB
hda: 1019088 sectors (521 MB) w/0KiB Cache, CHS=1011/16/63
 hda: hda1 hda2
ide-cs: hda: Vpp = 0.0

So, the card is recognized by the kernel. Why it is not detected at
boot-time then?

In addition I've tried to build images myself (from the development
branch). The linux-rp-2.6.23 kernel doesn't compile with the following
error:

arch/arm/mach-pxa/hx2750.c:446: error: ‘pxa_init_irq’ undeclared here (not in a
function)

The linux-rp-2.6.24 kernel compiles but oopses at boot time.

Are any images out there that are known to work on hx2790 or hx2750?
