I picked up an NSLU2 USB NAS device and wanted to put Angstrom on it because some of the reading I did suggested it was best with floating point calculations. The goal is to use it as a simple, dedicated, low power rsync server for offsite backups.

I'm having trouble getting it working. I upload the firmware to the unit, and it returns successful, however I can't telnet or SSH to the unit. I can see it pop up on my router's DHCP list as it pulls an IP address, but it only leases an IP for 60 seconds before letting it go. I don't know how to connect to the unit to figure out if it's running or not. The indicator lights flash and look OK, but it seems like nothing's running since I can't connect to it whatsoever. I ping the IP the DHCP has given it and I get no replies. Telnet just times out as does SSH. Can anyone running Angstrom on their NSLU2 give me any tips on getting angstrom up and running? I've found little to nothing on details. I'll happily update the wiki with my experiences once I figure it out.
