I've been doing some experiments. Specifically, I ported and patched the FLWM window manager (flwm.sf.net) and its requisite libfltk, and added hotkeys and methods which 'pan' the entire desktop, so that the small iPaq screen becomes a viewport into a desktop of arbitrary size. This will be a sanity-saver for apps like abiword, evince and gnumeric which have been blindly ported into OE without a thought for screen size. This modified FLWM is working nicely, but what's frustrating is the inability to integrate this with the extremely useful GPE applets. I notice that GPE seems very tightly coupled with matchbox, at least at the level of scripts. Next time I get some free hours (lotsa university assignments coming due) I'll look into trying to get the GPE applets working with a separate dockbar app. Cheers David _______________________________________________ Angstrom-distro-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.linuxtogo.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/angstrom-distro-users
