I tried kexecboot too. I couldn't get it to work on my c860. Though, for all I know kexecboot actually did its bit and the failure was later on in the boot process. I am not technical enough to know.
Can't say I feel abandoned though. Just aware that I am out of my depth, and so the retreat to an earlier incarnation that I can still find files and feeds for. I note the pdaXrom site itself has abandoned all mention of the Zaurus. I will continue to watch the Angstrom list and hope I see something that makes me think I could give it another go soon.
