Hi Phil, It will be good if you use Ecllipse or visual studio, there are few reason for use : after integrating angular js with ecllipse you will get *intellisense/suggestions* to write code.
Visual studio is recommended because when you use $routeprovider, $routeparams, you need servers (xamp, wamp,etc). Visual studio in built provide asp server, so you dont need to any 3rd party integration for running angular js code, however *intellisense *will not be provided by VS. Ecllipse need to configure with servers like tomcat, xamp, wamp I hope this will help you...
