This year, you choose. We
want to know what you would like to see in the menu. These
are your Webinars and you know better what you want.
Overall, the Webinars are meant to assist African operators
with their IPv6 adoption and deployment plans through
sharing best experiences and practices region-wide. An IPv6
related topic (technical or non-technical) will be discussed
in each Webinar. The Webinar will address these topics by
inviting leading experts to share their experiences. For the
first Webinar of 2013, we would like to invite you to
participate in shaping the topics for the rest of the
webinars. When Monday, 22 April 2013, 1 PM
(UTC). Because the Webinar start at exactly 1 PM UTC and
sometimes takes time to connect using Webex, participants
are strongly advised to log in half an hour before to ensure
that their connection works properly and avoid losing time. Meeting agenda - Introductions and refresher

important/refresher on IPv6 – 20 minutes - AFRINIC activities on IPv6 –
15 minutes - ISOC activities on IPv6 – 15

discussion - presentation of our draft topics and subsequent
discussion with participants (30 minutes)
Who should attend? This webinar targets mainly
operators and other stakeholders interested in IPv6
deployment in the African region. How to attend? Meeting Participants can join
the meeting through one of two means: A: Register for the Webinar
to obtain the meeting password: 1. Go to https://isoc.webex.com 2. Click on "Register" on the
left menu below "Attend a Meeting" 3. On the right, a search box
will appear. Enter "IPv6 Webinar 1 2013 Main" 4. The meeting will be listed
below the search box. Click on the highlighted URL "IPv6
Webinar 1 2013 Main" 5. At the bottom, you will see a
"Register" button.
Click on it and enter the required information. Ensure you enter a valid
email address when registering, as that will be used to send
the meeting password. You are encouraged to forward this
mail to any other person you feel might be interested by
this webinar. B: Phone dial in Phone dial-in option is also
available. Details will be included in the registration
email. Test your Webex in Advance Tip: We advise participants to
test their ability to connect the meeting platform, by
logging in here, on Friday, 19
April 2013, from 12:30 to 15:30 UTC. On this date, Webex
will be made available for test purposes only. For example,
two people can connect and see if you they can hear each
other. Also, choose "Call using this
computer" when prompted after logging into the session on 22

The meeting will last 90
minutes. About the organisers AFRINIC AFRINIC was set up
to serve the African community by providing professional and
efficient management of Internet Number Resources,
supporting Internet technology usage and development, and
promoting a participatory and multi-stakeholder approach to
Internet self governance. AFRINIC is a non-government,
not-for-profit, membership based organization, based in
Mauritius. Trainings and capacity building are a central
part of AFRINIC's activities. Our objective is to build
competence within our region in IPv6 implementation and
associated technologies required to use our resources
effectively. We also seek to increase awareness within the
service region on how the Internet is governed and the role
organisations play in this environment.
