Dear Colleagues,
From a pool of more than 1,700 ambitious applicants representing every corner
of Africa and beyond, five outstanding individuals have emerged as the newest
members of the AFRINIC-37 Fellowship Programme. Their journey now leads them to
Nairobi, Kenya, where they will join Internet leaders, policymakers, network
operators, and technical experts from across the continent at AFRINIC-37 that
takes place during the Africa Internet Summit 2026 (AIS'26)
<https://2026.internetsummit.africa/>. Selected through a rigorous and highly
competitive process, these fellows represent the passion, talent, and
innovation driving Africa's digital future, and we are delighted to welcome
them to the AFRINIC community.

M. Musa Bangura – Sierra Leone
Mrs. Lucrèce Itanganeza – Burundi
Mrs. Noha Abdel Baky – Egypt
M. Serge-Parfait Goma – Republic of the Congo (Mentor).
The AFRINIC Fellowship Programme

network of AFRINIC ambassadors across the African region by empowering emerging
Internet leaders and professionals to actively engage in Internet governance,
policy development, and technical discussions. Through participation in AFRINIC
meetings, the fellows gain firsthand experience of the multistakeholder model,
build valuable networks with Internet experts and decision-makers from around
the world, enhance their knowledge through workshops and presentations, and
become part of the AFRINIC Fellowship Alumni Network, a growing community
committed to advancing the development, resilience, and growth of the Internet
across Africa.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the selected fellows and look
forward to welcoming them to Nairobi for an enriching week of learning,
collaboration, and engagement at AFRINIC-37 and AIS’26. We are confident that
their participation will contribute meaningfully to the discussions and
strengthen the future of the African Internet ecosystem.
To the many individuals who applied, thank you for your interest and
enthusiasm. The exceptional quality and diversity of applications received this
year are a testament to the growing passion for Internet development,
innovation, and digital transformation across Africa. While not everyone could
be selected, we encourage all applicants to remain involved in AFRINIC's
activities and to take advantage of future opportunities to engage with the
community.

Parmi plus de 1 700 candidats ambitieux issus des quatre coins de l’Afrique et
d’ailleurs, cinq personnes exceptionnelles ont été sélectionnées pour rejoindre
le Programme de Bourses AFRINIC-37. Leur parcours les conduira désormais à
Nairobi, au Kenya, où elles participeront à AFRINIC-37, organisé dans le cadre

Le Programme de Bourses AFRINIC
<https://afrinic.net/our-work/idk-2023/fellowship-program> vise à développer un
réseau d’ambassadeurs AFRINIC à travers la région africaine en donnant aux
futurs leaders et professionnels de l’Internet les moyens de participer
activement aux discussions sur la gouvernance de l’Internet, l’élaboration des
politiques et les questions techniques. Grâce à leur participation aux réunions
AFRINIC, les boursiers acquièrent une expérience directe du modèle
multipartite, développent un réseau précieux de contacts avec des experts et
décideurs du monde entier, renforcent leurs connaissances grâce aux ateliers et
présentations, et rejoignent le Réseau des Anciens Boursiers AFRINIC, une
communauté grandissante engagée dans le développement, la résilience et la
croissance de l’Internet en Afrique.
Nous adressons nos plus sincères félicitations aux boursiers sélectionnés et
nous nous réjouissons de les accueillir à Nairobi pour une semaine
enrichissante d’apprentissage, de collaboration et d’échanges dans le cadre
d’AFRINIC-37 et de l’AIS’26. Nous sommes convaincus que leur participation
contribuera de manière significative aux discussions et au renforcement de
l’écosystème Internet africain.
À toutes les personnes ayant soumis leur candidature, nous adressons nos
sincères remerciements pour leur intérêt et leur enthousiasme. L’excellente
qualité et la diversité des candidatures reçues cette année témoignent de
l’intérêt croissant pour le développement de l’Internet, l’innovation et la
transformation numérique à travers l’Afrique. Bien que tous les candidats
n’aient pas pu être retenus, nous les encourageons à rester impliqués dans les
activités d’AFRINIC et à saisir les futures opportunités d’engagement au sein
