As some of you may know, Dick Heller has decided to run for U.S. House of
Representatives, as the District of Columbia's nonvoting representative to that
body. Mr. Heller was the plaintiff in the landmark case in which the Supreme
Court (somewhat miraculously) affirmed the 2nd Amendment as an individual
right. The decision thus overturned the DC handgun ban.
As you read this, DC Libertarians are HIRING petition circulators to get
signatures of registered DC voters for independent (Libertarians Dick Heller
and Damien Ober) candidates NOW through August 26th.
3,000 signatures are needed for Heller; according to recent reports about 2,000
are still needed for Ober.
If you are interested in making some money and helping a celeb Libertarian get
on the ballot, contact the petition coordinator right away:

Time is running out and this is your chance to actually get involved in
grassroots politics. If you are interested in helping out send Bruce an email
so arrangements can be made.
Bruce can arrange crash space for those coming from non-commuting areas.
Students interested in petitioning can visit, earn a few hundred dollars in
just a few days, and not have to worry about a long-term project commitment.
