1. VIRGINIA NEWS: 2012 Ballot Access Fund Open for Business

The end of the 2011 elections marks the beginning of our push to get our
presidential candidate on the ballot in 2012. Please contribute early so we
can hit the ground running with both volunteer and paid petitioners.

I am pledging to collect 100 signatures as a volunteer by January 31, 2012. I
encourage all of you to pledge signatures also -- every volunteer signature we
collect saves us a buck or two in paid signatures. Click to pledge your

I know from past experience that most people who commit *early* to collecting
signatures actually do follow through. Besides, wouldn't it be nicer to have
the ballot drive wrapped up in February or March, rather than waiting until the
last available minute? With the ballot drive out of the way, we can start
bringing some of the candidates seeking our nomination through Virginia for
campaign tours -- which will begin bringing new Libertarians into the LP.
The petitioning window opens on January 1, 2012.

Fellow Libertarian Shane Cory in Fredericksburg!

Shane Cory, former LP national Director, recently invested in a photo/video
studio just outside of old town Fredericksburg. He is offering free access to
Libertarian Party candidates (or anyone doing LP business). Visit the studio

3. Political Training: Future Candidate School
w/ The Leadership Institute

The Future Candidate School trains potential candidates and community activists
how to run for office successfully and build a grassroots organization. The
training focuses on your personal and political preparation for a future career
as an elected official and community leader.
