Fellow Libertarians, If we gather enough volunteers to man shifts at the State Fair of Virginia, the Libertarian Party of Virginia will have a State Fair Booth this year! We believe it is extremely important that we have a booth this year to promote our candidates for Governor and the House of Delegates. The 2013 State Fair of Virginia is scheduled to run from Friday, September 27 October 7, 2012.
Operating days and hours are as follows: Friday, September 27: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, September 28: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, September 29: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, September 30: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 1: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 2: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 3: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, October 4: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, October 5: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, October 6: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Manning a State Fair booth is a very demanding assignment, particularly during peak periods (weekends and evenings). We will need a minimum of 2 LPVA representatives at the booth, preferably 3 during peak periods. This will allow for breaks for food, water and rest room time. Shifts of at least 4 hours would be needed. Therefore, there would be at least 30 shifts with a need for 2-3 LPVA reps at each. Some people may be able to volunteer for more than one 4-hour shift. However, maximum manpower will be needed to support the booth for the entire time. We need your help! If you can cover several shifts on different days, your help will be greatly appreciated!!
