The WISPA Board Election is complete and has been approved by the Current Board of Directors. I would like to thank everyone who had a part in our successful election including Dave Smith (Election Foreman), Scott Reed, Jerry Richardson, Tim Harris, Paul McCall (Nominating Committee) and Jack Unger (WISPA Secretary). It is no small feat conducting a fair, secure and fluid election, but these guys helped make it all possible. Thanks as well, goes out to all candidates who ran for the Board this year.
The 2009-2010 WISPA Board is: Jack Unger Matt Larsen Rick Harnish Tom DeReggi Marlon Schafer Todd Bergstrom Elizabeth Bowles Dennis Burgess Forbes Mercy Congratulations to those who were elected for a seat on next year's Board. We have a lot to accomplish, so let's hit the road running. The first Board Meeting will be Thursday, August 13th at 10 am EST. We will be adding each of you to the Board List this weekend and can give further instructions there. This two week transition period will give each new Board Member time to get used to our normal procedures and to ask questions of the various old Board Members who are leaving and those who are coming back. Officer Elections will be held during the first Board Meeting. Discussions on Board Member qualifications for the positions of Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and President will take place for the next several weeks. I would also like to take this time to thank outgoing Board Members: John Scrivner (5 years), Frank Muto (1 year), George Rogato (3 years) and Butch Evans (1 year) for their contribution over the last year or more. It was John Scrivner's steadfast vision to create WISPA and we are sorry to see him leave the Board. He has accomplished SO much in the past 5 years, we owe him a lot of gratitude, respect and wish him the best. Respectfully, Rick Harnish
