The TV White Space Workshop <http://www.wispa.org/ispamerica-2012/tv-white-spaces-day> at ISPAmerica 2012 <http://www.wispa.org/ispamerica-2012> on Tuesday, March 27 kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with co-keynote presentations from Julius Knapp, Chief of the FCC's Office of Engineering & Technology, and Michael Calabrese, Senior Research Fellow of the New America Foundation's Open Technology Initiative. Entitled "Inside/Outside View of Spectrum Legislation and Regulatory Impact," this session will provide important and fresh perspectives on recently-enacted spectrum legislation that will shape the Washington spectrum debate for the next decade. Michael will begin with a summary of the key points of the legislation that affect ISPs, then Julie will discuss the FCC's role in implementing incentive auctions, optimizing TV white space spectrum and making available new spectrum bands for unlicensed use. Michael will then return with further insight on the issues, process and strategies that will have the greatest impact on ISPs. Julie and Michael will then take questions from the attendees.
